As I said, I only really owned FireTV Sticks but for video codecs, Nvidia Shield TV Pro and Fire Stick are evenly matched, the Shield, however, supports TrueHD and DTS Audio and the FireTV does not. If you don't want to do that then your only option is to get an Nvidia shield. That means that there is no other way around it other than installing Webtools-ng and pulling a list of your media files from your server and taking note of what codecs are being used and then comparing them to whatever those devices support. That doesn't mean it will play everything though (for example TrueHD Audio commonly used in 4K videos). But it doesnt end here because the Winner of this Roku VS.
